Community, Appreciation & Connection
Farming Forward’s Annual General Meeting is more than a business meeting, it’s a chance to come together as a community. This year’s AGM is centered on appreciation, connection, and meaningful conversations with the producers, partners, and local businesses who support agriculture in West-Central Alberta.
Hosted in a newly renovated Coyote Community Hall, the evening is designed to be welcoming and relaxed, with space to connect, reflect on the past year, and look ahead together.
Annual General Meeting
The formal AGM will include a review of Farming Forward’s activities over the past year, organizational updates, and member business. This portion of the evening provides members with an opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and help shape the direction of the organization.
Keynote Speaker - Billi J. Miller
Billi J. Miller is a Canadian writer, photographer, and speaker who, with unmistakable passion and heart, celebrates the magic of rural life. Since trading city living for a prairie farm in 2010, she has spent 15 years capturing the heart, pride, and deep roots of rural communities.
The author of four books—including the acclaimed Farmwives series, which honours the contributions of Canadian farm women—her work shines with honesty, humour, and heart.
Billi’s stories, often highlighting voices that go unseen, have earned national and international recognition on CBC, Global TV, City TV, and in publications across North America.
Through her books, articles, and speaking, she inspires others to see the beauty in where they come from—and where they’re going.
Billi lives on a mixed cattle-and-grain farm in east-central Alberta with her husband and two daughters.
