Drone School in the Works: From Sky to Soil

Curious about what drones can do on the farm? From spraying and spreading to scouting and mapping, the future of precision agriculture is already here—and built for Canadians.

We're planning a 2-day drone school in Northwest-Central Alberta before the end of summer, in partnership with AdvancedUAV, a Calgary-based UAV manufacturer and certified training provider. Whether you're brand new to drones or looking to upgrade your skills and certifications, this could be your chance to get hands-on with the A70 and learn how UAVs can save time, reduce input costs, and reach the hard-to-spray places.

Sky to Soil: Helping Canadian Farmers Fly Forward

“The world’s changed. It’s not ever gonna be the same. We’re not going backwards. We’re going to forge forward,” Peter Jarmics, CEO of AdvancedUAV (AUAV) Tech Inc., said in a recent CBC interview.

Canada is witnessing a major shift–the agricultural industry is evolving, and many farmers are wary of the rapid changes. That’s where AdvancedUAV (AUAV) Tech Inc., a Calgary-based leading UAV manufacturer and training provider, steps in to support farmers across Canada.

At the centre of their solutions is the A70, an agriculture drone built in Canada for Canadians. Designed for cargo, spreading and spraying applications, it is equipped with a 70-litre spray tank capable of delivering up to 40L/min and an optional 100-litre spreader tank capable of handling up to 300kg/min. Featuring autonomous flight paths, advanced obstacle avoidance and 2 km image transmission, making it effective even in difficult terrain and weak signal areas.

Beyond manufacturing, AUAV provides precision agriculture services, including mapping and crop scouting, along with training programs to help Canadians earn their Basic, Advanced, and soon Class 1 RPAS certifications–equipping farmers with the confidence that their crops are taken care of, so they can get back to what they do best.

From sky to soil, AUAV is helping farmers embrace change with tools, hands-on training, and trust–one flight at a time.
