Curious about how virtual fencing actually works in the field? Want to see how goats can do the heavy lifting for brush control? Whether you are a regular at our Next Step Grazing Club meetings or completely new to the group, this tour is for you!
Join us for a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground day touring two unique grazing sites. We are bringing together cutting-edge tech, alternative livestock strategies, and expert rangeland knowledge to help you level up your grazing management.
The Tour Stops
Stop 1: Master The Virtual (EShepard Demonstration)
See virtual fencing in action! We’ll visit a local producer who is brand new to the technology. Learn firsthand how she is navigating the learning curve, setting up her boundaries, and managing her herd using EShepard virtual fencing. Get the honest truth on the tech, the trials, and the triumphs.
Stop 2: Targeted Goat Grazing & Pasture Health
We’ll head over to our targeted goat grazing project site to hear from a professional goat shepherd. Discover how to integrate goats as a powerful, alternative method for invasive species and brush control.
While we're there, Rangeland Specialists will walk us through the essentials of pasture health. You'll learn practical, actionable ways to assess and monitor your own pastures to maximize forage and soil health.
Lunch is Included
Nothing beats good conversation over a great meal. A delicious lunch is included with your registration, giving you plenty of time to network, swap stories, and talk shop with fellow producers.

Please Note: The main presentation and viewing area at the goat grazing site is easily accessible. However, attendees who wish to explore the site further may encounter uneven ground and a steeper hill. Exploring beyond the main viewing area is entirely optional. Those with mobility concerns may prefer to remain in the presentation area, where they will still be able to fully participate!
