Session Spotlight: Marissa Lemay, Merck Animal Health
When it comes to combining animal health expertise with innovation, Marissa Lemay is helping producers see what’s possible when data and good stockmanship work hand in hand.
Marissa grew up immersed in Alberta's agricultural landscape, on her family's feedlot and commercial crop farm in central Alberta. Now based in Okotoks, AB, she has carried that early exposure to cattle, crops, and community into a professional journey rooted deeply in the beef industry.
She is a Registered Veterinary Technologist with a growing voice in Canadian agriculture. With years of hands-on experience and an eye toward innovation, she has built a career that blends practical animal health knowledge with a passion for emerging technology in agriculture.
Currently, Marissa works as an Account Manager with Merck Animal Health, where she supports producers in applying effective herd and health management technologies to strengthen the resilience of their operations. Her background in the beef industry gives her a strong foundation in understanding the complexity of modern beef production—and sparked her growing interest in how technology can be harnessed to support producers in making more informed, data-driven decisions.
