Guess Who's Back? Welcome Jess to a New Role!

Hi friends!

After a short break to grow my family, I'm incredibly excited to be back with Farming Forward in a new role as Assistant Manager. For those I haven't yet met, I've been with the team since 2016, back before we were known as Farming Forward. For most of that time, I held the Conservation & Extension role—now filled by the wonderful Dini—and briefly served as Interim

Executive Director between my two maternity leaves.

Our family welcomed our second son in early 2024. Life on the farm with two busy boys (and two under two for a few months!) has been a wonderfully chaotic and noisy adventure—it turns out wrangling tiny humans is a lot like herding cats! My husband, in-laws, and I co-own and operate a cattle operation in Barrhead County, and we are so excited to be adding to the

next generation in agriculture with our two farm-obsessed little boys. We have a small purebred Simmental operation along with a commercial herd, and have recently started dabbling in some small grain acres as well.

I’m especially looking forward to contributing to the development of impactful resources and projects that help our members and partners thrive. I'm excited to reconnect with all of you and welcome our new members and partners to the community. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish together in this next chapter.
