Cory Commandeur

Cory Commandeur to our Board of Directors. Cory grew up on a mixed cattle and grain farm southwest of Mayerthorpe, where agriculture has been a part of daily life from an early age. Being involved in both crops and livestock shaped his appreciation for how the two can work together to support long-term farm sustainability.

In 2024, Cory earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Science, from the University of Alberta. Along the way, he developed a strong interest in livestock nutrition and the challenge of making the most of each growing season, using weather, forage, and feeding strategies to improve both efficiency and herd performance.

Today, Cory works as a Feed Consultant with Proveta Nutrition, while remaining actively involved in his family’s farm. His work focuses on developing feeding programs that support animal health and help farms stay productive and sustainable.
